On June 10, 2016, the two Austrian artists Heinz Aschenbrenner and Gilbert Kleissner (alias CEDES) created a work together for the first time: the venue for the art event was the Galerie am Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte. Aschenbrenner and CEDES are students of Hermann Nitsch. Over the past seven years, they have held exhibitions in Vienna, Linz, Zurich, Innsbruck, Malta, Milan, New York, Beijing and Shanghai. The action took place on the occasion of the vernissage of the exhibition “Two of a Kind” at the Galerie am Gendarmenmarkt (June 10-28, 2016) in Berlin.

Painting activity by Graz artist Cedes with the children of Gamlitz primary school under the motto ‘Flowing colours’.

Together with fashion designer Andrea Ledinek, the children had the opportunity to express their creativity on the canvas and on a dirndl specially designed for the occasion.

Cedes poured paint over an iron sculpture in the shape of a grape panicle on a canvas. Even the mayor of Gamlitz, Karl Wratschko, did not miss this event.

Cedes visits Vienna’s Leopold Museum to contribute his installations ‘Wolkenkratzer’, ‘Himmel auf Erden’ and ‘gesperreter Luftraum’. The only problem. The Leopold Museum doesn’t know anything about it yet.
