The lifecycle
In terms of content, the cycle of life is a complex recording of existence in all phases of development. Starting with the death of a person, a new life is created at the same time, which the audience can witness throughout the entire production. The project itself is divided into four parts. Part one, ‘The Awakening’, deals with the emergence, birth, growth and the first phase of detachment and development.
In the course of the piece, the viewer is taken on a journey through the individual stages of life and development of a fictional person into an artist and the creative birth of his art. They experience the symbolic death through a ceremonial farewell. Parallel to this, the emergence of new life and the first stages of development.
As a viewer, you also experience the escape from the constraints of society in which the actor feels so confined. Part one ends with these first phases of his self-discovery. Over the course of the entire cycle, the viewer experiences the development of the man into an artist, beginning with his artistic escape from the constraints of society, his self-discovery, the encounter with his muse, the climax of his artistic creative phase, the questioning of his work, his artistic return and his purification. After a final artistic outpouring, the cycle ends with the artist’s death.
At the same time, a new life is already emerging. With this artistic actionism, I would like to bring both the participating actors and the spectators closer to the sensuality, by which I mean the intensive perception of his environment with all his senses as well as the abstractions of each individual stage of the life cycle of an artist and his works in this production and invite them to engage with and absorb this intensive development.
As the framework of a large whole, the viewer is immediately drawn into this fascinating spectacle. The colours of the pictures, the sounds of the music, the scents that are released and the haptics of the individual structures make this piece a true feast for the senses.
If only one sensory organ is stimulated when looking at a picture or a sculpture, the viewer, if he has the openness and allows it, can let himself be carried away into my world with all his senses and completely surrender to the moment of sensual perception. This results in a change of perspective, the direct horizon merges and for a brief moment you are immersed in my world, in the world of bohemia.
